ABOUT ME / THIS WEBSITE

My name is Ananda Nguyen. My friends often just call me nandos. I was born right here in Canberra, and despite living here my whole life I can't get over how cold it is here!

I started this website to showcase my passion for photography and all kinds of media!
I'll be putting images in the image gallery and uploading videos too - perhaps as the site grows I may start to add rationales for each photo/video.

I went to Daramalan College in Dickson for my highschool, and found Japanese and IT to be what I was good at. I also studied at the ANU during Year 11 and 12 doing a Japanese extension course, so I'll know a little Japanese :)

It was around this time during high school that I took on an interest in media. You can talk to me all about photography, cinematography, tech, video games, and much more! It's all very interesting to me!

MY HOBBIES

My hobbies are mainly photography/cinematography and video games. They have all really changed my perspective on the world. As a photographer, I enjoy going out and taking photos, especially of people, nature, and architecture.

Portraits allow me to capture the essence of a person and tell their story through a single image. As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words! Nature and landscape photography, on the other hand, allows me to appreciate the beauty of our natural world.

I also enjoy street photography as it challenges me to see things in a different light and capture moments that might otherwise go unnoticed. I think of photography as a way to document perspectives and concepts that will last far into the future.

When it comes to cinematography, I just love that cinema "look". I like to think of it as photography, but through videos.

As for video games, you'll find me playing all kinds of genres. Personally, I enjoy FPS games, Rogue-lites, and Rhythm games just to name a few.
A few examples would be like: Battlefield, Risk of Rain 2, etc...

Gaming online, however is what really changes your perspective, however. It is a crazy thought that people can so easily communicate with one another in real-time over the internet, enjoying/sharing their common interest. It makes the world seem so big yet small.
